| Jason St. Amand - EdTech Coach |
Welcome to my new blog! It has been a while since I entered the blogging game and I thought a new fresh look might encourage me to write more often. As you probably could tell from the About.me link on the right of the page, I've been in private school education for more than 20 years at the largest private schools in the country (Woodward Academy) in Atlanta and in the Tampa Bay area (Berkeley Preparatory School) respectively. Two great schools that I have been lucky to be a part of. My job as the resident EdTech Coach at Berkeley (or Technology Coordinator, Tech Guy, Innovation Coach, printer fix it guy...my least favorite) is to provide professional development opportunities for the faculty. Recently, we established an in house conference we called the BTC (Berkeley Technology Conference). Soon that conference will be open for other schools to present and participate in as well. We are very excited about this open conference especially since we are completing a new state-of-the-art STEAM driven Gries Center for the Arts and Science's! The 80K Sq. Ft. building is enormous and a welcomed upgrade to our already thriving campus. More on that later. In the meantime, please check out my posts and pass them along as I will be offering a multitude of opinions on a wide variety of educational topics I have encountered over the last 2 decades. Don't forget to connect via Twitter and keep in touch and share your thoughts as well!
